Can the extensions be colored, or matched to my own hair?

Great lengths come in every possible color. It is best to match it to your desired color before application. However, you can color the extensions as well and continue to color your own hair while you have them in.

Is there anything you can’t do while you wear them?

You do want to use salon products and preferably a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. Otherwise, you can swim and do any other lifestyle activities as always the main thing is to keep the bond dry when possible.

Great Lengths is 100% natural human hair extensions for length, volume or dimensional color with long-lasting results. This extremely high-tech method of bonding between the Great Lengths strand and your own hair is safe for your hair, damage-free. This point of attachment is composed of a Keratin protein bond that has a similar molecular structure to your own hair. When you are ready to take them out they come out easily and do not damage your own hair in the process.

The hair can be worn for 8-10 weeks varying on your hair growth and how well you take care of them. They can be reapplied up to 3 times for a total of about 6-8 months of wear.

What do you need to do to maintain the hair?

Hotheads must be kept clean and tangle free to prevent matting and frizzing. A soft brush must be used to maintain the integrity of the hair before and after washings. A maintenance visit to remove, re-tape, and reapply hair as your natural hair grows is recommended every 8-10 weeks.

Great lengths come in a variety of colors. A consultation is required to match your hair color, and hair must be paid in full before your hair is ordered. However, you can color the extensions as well and continue to color your own hair while you have them in.

Is there anything you can’t do while you wear them?

You do want to use salon products and shampoo and conditioner that is oil, sulfate, and alcohol-free. Hair must be pulled back in a ponytail when you exercise, swim, and use the sauna. Hair also must be brushed with a soft brush before and after washing, and dry and gently pulled back into a low ponytail or braid before going to bed.

Hotheads Hair Extensions are human hair, adhesive weft extensions that are applied without the need for tools or heat. Hair can be worn for 6-9 weeks depending on preference before you need to come in for a re-install. Once hair is purchased it can be reused for up to 1 year of time. This is a non damaging syste.

Hand-tied extensions are low maintenance and are easy to care for at home. You will need to make sure you have a wet or bore bristle brush at home to brush while wet. You will want to keep you hair dry when you can after a shower. Refrain from using oils near the scalp as this can cause the beads to slip from time to time. Also continue to use salon professional shampoo and conditioner at home. 

How do I know if I am a good candidate for Hand Tied extensions?

Hotheads services a wide variety of clients, from This line of extension is great for most all hair types. The longer your natural hair is the better you blend you will have with this hair. The Finer your hair the less wefts of extensions you will need. This is a great service if you want to only add thickness, or you are looking to transform your length. The are also a great option to add bright colors to your hair with out the fading of actual hair color. 

Is there anything you can’t do while you wear them?

Make sure to set up your reinstall when you leave the salon to make sure you are getting in with the right amount of time. Make sure to use the brushes wet or bore bristle to brush you hair daily.  Continue to use salon professional products. Do not take them out yourself at home.
